What does the Authors and Libraries program do?
A & L seeks to maximize book exposure for authors, as well as provide quality event coordination for libraries. We accomplish this by means of our Authors & Libraries Matching Program and LBR – Library Book Review Magazine. Combined, these two powerful opportunities help authors reach a wider audience, and libraries better serve their patrons and local communities.
With more than 5000 eager and willing authors throughout the US, ready to “adopt” a library, A & L will provides libraries the authors and materials necessary to stage successful community events.
Helping authors reach a wider audience…
We connect authors with libraries across the US for book signings and other events, as well as match authors to library events which need authors present.
With the decline of “brick and mortar” bookstores and their decreasing interest in hosting author events, and with the increase in patrons returning to their local libraries as the source for books information and events, we see libraries as an increasingly great place to market yourself and your books to readers in your community. Authors can register now free of charge.
Helping libraries host quality events for their communities…
By enrolling your library in our program we will pair you up with neighboring authors for “Adoption.” These authors will come to your facilities and host book signings and events, free of charge. Libraries can register now, free of charge.
